Director Hannah and her non-binary teenager Frances travel together to Amsterdam to visit grandfather “Jimpa.” When Frances prefers to stay with Jim in Amsterdam for a year to finish his senior year of high school, Hannah is forced to rethink her view of parenthood. Her relationship with her father also emerges in a new light.
