Cinekid Festival 2023 opens with Jippie No More!

The 37th edition of Cinekid Festival opens Sunday 15 October in Amsterdam with the world premiere of Jippie No More!, a new Dutch family film by director Margien Rogaar and production house Juliet at Pupkin; the makers of the well-known family series Lampje.

Jippie No More! tells the story of 16-year-old Jaap Peter 'Jippie' (Wesley van Klink) and his family, who are all challenged in love in their own way during the preparations for the eldest sister's wedding. It is a film for the whole family about love, family and commitment.

"I am proud of the opening film of 2023! Jippie No More!" is a true Cinekid film, disarming and with unusual twists. The film encourages young viewers to discover themselves and the story of Jaap Peter's family represents a broad group of young people.
