Shooting started of family film Jippie No More!

This week, shooting started for the new Dutch family film Jippie No More! Creators are the team behind the well-received television series Lampje, director Margien Rogaar and production house Juliet.

In Jippie No More!, 16-year-old Jaap Peter (Wesley van Klink) falls in love for the first time during preparations for his older sister's wedding. Jaap Peter has Down syndrome. However, when the girl of his dreams turns out to fall for his younger sister, Jaap Peter has no desire to celebrate. Until he realises it will be nothing without him.

Margien Rogaar previously directed episodes of Lampje, Koppensnellers and Alleen op de wereld, as well as the television film Bon Voyage. The screenplay is by Fiona van Heemstra, known for Knor. Iris Otten and Nathalie van der Burg are producing for Juliet, a label of production house Pupkin.

Filming will take place from 11 January to 20 February.

Cinéart will release Jippie No More! in cinemas by the end of 2023.
